However, going to college may not be the most convenient approach. Instead of giving up your dream of going to school, why not earn a Bachelor degree on the web? If you are going to take on the web classes, you might as well look into personal careers as well.

I have chosen three of the many options available when you earn a Bachelor degree on the web. Each of these careers involves computers in some shape or form. You may find that you can work from home after earning your Bachelor degree on the internet. Like I stated, there are plenty of options. The three I chose are only a small sample of what’s available over the World Wide Web.

Graphic Design is a hot career that is high demand right now. Once you’ve earned your Bachelor degree on the web in Graphic Design you’re well on your way to an exciting new career that you will truly enjoy. If you love art and design than this is a great field to consider.

I like to suggest this field to art students but you don’t have to be a very talented artist to work the programs in this area. People who earn a Bachelor degree on the internet in Graphic Design work in very exciting fields like advertising, illustration and promotional print presentations.

Another art-inspired field is visual effects and Digital Video BA programs. When you earn a Bachelors degree on the web in this field you’re opening the doors to a dynamic world of sight and sound. If you’ve ever dreamed of working in film or in television then this is a prime choice for you.

Can’t decide which medium is right for you then you might want to take into account a Multimedia Arts and Design program. I find this online Bachelor degree to be very appealing because you get to work in different media. This is a great choice for students who want a lot of variety.

People who go into the field of Multimedia Arts and Design work in a number of different mediums. They create three dimensional images, brochures, commercials among a number of other endeavors. This is a great Bachelor degree on the web program for someone who likes a lot of change in their workplace.

Each of these examples is appealing to people who typically are not considered technologically savvy. However, the right Bachelor degree online program will give you the training to merge your creative side with the latest technologies.

Bachelor Degree Online is a post from: Online Education Guide

Top Universities

Career

In this day and age you’d have to be a fool to dismiss a quality education as unnecessary. The truth is most of us need a college degree of some sort to succeed in this highly competitive world. Employers far and wide are looking for it. Huge companies have no use for those who lack essential academic knowledge and skill. So, where does this leave you in the large scheme of things? Well, it’s easy really. It leaves you searching for a great University to attend. Maybe you even want to take it to the next level and seek out top universities across the world. A great education can never hurt!

I will give you one guess at the current top universities in the USA. Do the words Princeton, Harvard and Yale mean anything to you? Yeah, I thought they might. These are the top three Universities for 2007, and in that order. Obviously not everyone is going to make it into an Ivy League school. Many of us couldn’t afford the tuition if we did. This is why I suggest that you ponder your chosen major or field of interest and take it from there. Think about what you want to attend a University for, and then proceed to find the best rated Universities that offer that particular major. This is the way to go! There are countless colleges with great reputations to select from. If you’re stuck on finding a University in your area, then simply do a swift search on the internet. Punch in the major you’re looking for and applicable Universities should pop up. This is how I found my University.

Okay, maybe you are bent on attending one of the top universities in the country. If so, here are a few to pick from; California Institute of Technology, Dartmouth College, Stanford University, University of Pennsylvania, Duke University, Cornell University, Columbia University, and the University of Chicago. Those are just a few of the several. Fortunately for us Americans, we have plenty to choose from when it comes to finding a good college. Be sure you acquire the education you deserve and need to succeed at what you love in life.

Top Universities is a post from: Online Education Guide

Law School Admission Test

Career

Time passes so very quickly. It seems like only a few years ago when I was sitting with my guidance counselor and my parents talking about what career path I wanted to take. I didn’t want to move to far from home so I selected to go to the University that was a half hour drive from my parent’s home. I had skills in working with people as well as accounting skills. I was not sure how I would use these skills, but I started general education classes and decided that I would make the career decisions as I progressed with my classes. I decided that I wouldn’t be happy working with numbers and budgets all day. I went the people route and became a social worker. I have used my math skills to do our tax returns each year.

Twenty five years have passed. I’ve a solid social work career a wonderful husband and two kids in college. My oldest son did not have any struggles in his career choice. I think he was a freshman in high school when he first started taking about the law school admission test. Whenever he mentioned the test he would be excited and stressed at the same time. He had heard that the law school admission test was extremely difficult, but that if you did well on it you would get massive allows from the various law schools. He started talking to his high school counselor about how to study for the law school admission test. The counselor told him that he needed to get his four year degree first and then worry about the advanced law degree.

My son is still planning on being an attorney. He has interviewed several attorneys and has asked for pointers on how to study for the test. They have given him some things to study and have told him to concentrate on his writing skills. Writing essays is essential in doing well in law school. The majority of the classes’ grade on writing essays and this is also part of the law school admission test. Initially my son was interested in getting a massive grant by doing well on the test. Now he is just hoping that he’ll pass the test and will be accepted by one of the schools. The attorneys have warned him that even if you are given a grant you have to maintain an extremely high grade point average to keep it. Most people that are given funding lose it in the second year because they can’t take the number of classes required and maintain the grades needed. I’m hoping that he will do well on the test because he has never talked about any other career other than being an attorney.

Law School Admission Test is a post from: Online Education Guide

What Constitutes a Special Education Career?

Career

Abundance

Childlike Hearts

Compassion

Counselor

Counselors

Daily Basis

Disabilities

Ears

Education Career

Handicapped Children

Handicaps

Horses

Patience

Profession

Sake

Senses

Sign Language

Special Education

Unlimited Supply

Vocations

What most people don’t realize is that every profession is a “special education career” because all vocations require some type of distinctive training. However, for the sake of this article we’re going to discuss the elements of a Special Education Career that revolve around people with handicaps or disabilities.

There are numerous occupation choices for people who want to work with the handicapped. Teachers, therapists, and counselors are just a few examples and nearly every university in the world offer courses needed to work within the components necessary for this career.

A person who decides to work with the handicapped should not only obtain exclusive training, they should possess qualities in abundance that others may have but not necessarily express. Because you are working with people who don’t hear, think or reason the same way that most do, those in a special education career cannot afford to be impatient or mean spirited. Therefore, an unlimited supply of patience and compassion are absolute musts for people who choose to work in a special education career.

It takes a unique individual to be teacher of mentally or physically handicapped children and/or adults. At the same time, a counselor or therapist who works with the handicapped should be able to understand not only the physical but mental limitations of the people they come in contact with and particularly those with whom they are dealing with on a daily basis.

Other examples of a special education career are types of physical and mental therapy where horses, dogs, art, and music are applied. These are types of therapy that appeal to the senses and childlike hearts of the students.

Another instance of a special education career is someone who provides ears for the deaf. In nearly every profession and training facility around the world there are people who choose to interpret what is being said to people who can’t hear. These individuals are fluent in sign language and have the skills necessary to ensure that their pupils are hearing and understanding what they need to learn. This form of communication is a beautiful thing to watch.

Sign language isn’t the only form of communication where interpreters are necessary in the world today. People who are fluent in foreign languages can work in jobs as varied and influential as national security and government liaisons. Someone who doesn’t aspire to such lofty positions can be employed as translators for the arts by translating books, movies and songs.

So whether you choose a special education career working with children or adults, the disabled or just those linguistically impaired, these vocations are rewarding to everyone involved.

What Constitutes a Special Education Career? is a post from: Online Education Guide

Defining Education Career

Career

Batchelor

Career Advancement

Career Choices

Career Services Department

College Of Education

Continuing Education Courses

Customer Sales

Definition Of Education

Directory Education

Education Career Services

Fast Food Restaurants

Formal Education

High School Dropouts

High School Students

Initial Education

Insurance Agent

Masters Degree

Personal Lines

Safety Measures

Science Bs

What exactly does ‘education career’ mean? Some automatically relate this to teaching, but in all reality, it’s not that simple or basic. Nearly every profession available in the world today is considered an ‘education career’ due to the fact that some level of training is required to perform it. From the simplest of career choices to the highest aspiration you can think of, you must have some knowledge and/or skills to get a job.

When researching our theme these topics came up:

Teacher’s Masters Degree
Career Training Directory
Education Career Resources
College of Education
Career Services
Department of Education – Career Advancement

Now, let’s look at some basic facts when it comes to career choices and the education necessary to acquire and maintain your dream job.

The simplest definition of ‘education career’ is that of a teacher. However, even teaching has different levels in which to aspire. Basic teaching requires at minimum a certificate labeling you as an ‘expert’ in your field. From a Batchelor of Science (BS) degree to a Masters or even PHD, higher levels of teaching require higher levels of education.

Once upon a time you could work as a customer sales representative (CSR) in the insurance industry and only the owner and/or agent had to have any formal education and a license. Now, whether in life & health or property and casualty, personal lines or commercial, everyone who works in an agency or for an insurance agent must have a license. Getting and maintaining a job in insurance requires initial education to be licensed as well as continuing education courses to renew.

Food Service

Though most fast food restaurants will employ high school students or even high school dropouts, you must possess the most basic of skills to do be able to run a cash register, understand safety measures and obey the rules and regulations of your employer.

Childcare:

Once was a time when you could entrust your children with the teenager next door. Today, child care providers require extensive training and licensing. Though not always the case, many states will not allow someone to keep another person’s child or children without basic training and parenting skills.

Parenting can even be defined as an education career since you are responsible for teaching your children how to live in the society in which they are raised.

So regardless of whether your ideal career is in education, child care, or something more influential, chances are you’ll need some level of formal training to obtain and maintain your job.

Defining Education Career is a post from: Online Education Guide

Education Career Opportunities

Career

Address Phone Number

Becoming A Teacher

Daycares

Education Career

Education Music

Education Opportunities

Elementary Education

Elementary School Grades

High School Grades

High School Students

Home Economics

Kindergarten Ages

Kindergarten Students

Math Science

Nursery School

Nursery Schools

Secondary Education

Shapes And Colors

Thinking Of Becoming A Teacher

Traditional Career

As with most folks, I immediately think of teaching positions when it comes to education career opportunities. But let’s think outside the box here. All professions are ‘education career opportunities’ since nearly every occupation nameable requires a certain amount of education from its employees.

Now that we’ve determined that there is more to education career opportunities than teaching, let’s explore some of them. We’ll begin with the obvious.

Career Opportunities In Elementary Education:

Teaching is the most traditional career in education. Opportunities begin as early as nursery school and extend into adulthood. Below is a list and brief description of education career opportunities for those thinking of becoming a teacher.

Nursery School; you may not think you can teach babies much, but the truth is that learning begins in the nursery. Some daycares or ‘nursery schools’ begin teaching toddlers shapes, colors, numbers, and songs.

Pre-K; Ages 3-4 Pre-K is actual preparation for kindergarten. Most children graduate pre-k knowing their name, address, phone number, numbers, as well as all of their shapes and colors.

Kindergarten; Ages 5-6. Kindergarten students learn basic reading and writing.

Elementary School; Grades 1-5; These children continue learning from basic to advanced reading and writing, math, science and physical education. Music and art are usually introduced in these grades also.

Career Opportunities In Secondary Education:

Middle –or Junior High- School; Grades 6-8/9; Continuing their studies of basic subjects, students in middle school are also introduced to things like home economics, banking and social skills.

High School; Grades 9/10-12; Students are prepared for college. Most must earn a minimum number of ‘credits’ in the basic studies as well as foreign language in order to graduate and enter college.

Vocational or Technical School; Following high school students who attend a vocational or technical school are prepared to enter directly into the workforce. Many of these institutes offer an associate degree in careers such as Accounting and Drafting. Until recently this ‘r’ has always been around, but usually considered an elective or extra study. Let’s think about this for a moment…what is the most popular activity in America today? Watching Television!

Television entertainment is an art and working in the entertainment industry is one example of an art education career.

Art; a unique form of expression and communication:

Reading, writing, poetry, painting & sculpture, music, dance and storytelling are all forms of expression and communication. Broken down and/or combined they create a diverse array of opportunities for art, education and possible careers. Let’s look at each one individually.

Reading: Being able to read is essential to live in today’s society. If you’re able to read, you can teach someone else to read, therefore teaching is an art education career.

Writing: Some say that writers are made, not born. However, there are numerous writers and authors out there with no formal training. Writing is an art, a craft and a gift.

Poetry: Ah the written word; exotic, thought-provoking prose. Poetry is a well known and much loved form of art. Poets speak in a language all their own.

Painting & Sculpture: Water colors, oils, marble, clay; all intricate tools of the artists who use painting or sculpture to communicate their thoughts and ideas.

Music: Though some don’t always consider it, music is an art form in and of itself. Writing, reading, recording and teaching music are all considered careers in art.

Dance: As far back as the dawn of mankind dance has been used to celebrate victories, mourn losses and tell stories. Teaching dance is also an art education career.

Storytelling: More than reading from a book, good story telling invokes all of the senses.

Some degrees necessary to obtain an art education career:

Though you may be a professional artist, poet, writer or storyteller, it is essential for you to obtain a degree of some sort to teach the arts to others. These degrees help define your art education career.

BA in Art Education: Allows you to teach visual arts to children grades K-12.
MFA: Masters in Fine Art; necessary to teach on the college level.
PHD: The highest level of education obtainable; you can even obtain a PHD in Creative Writing!

Examples of an art education career:

Teacher of Visual Arts (painting, writing, sculpture, dance, script/screen writing)

Graphic Design

Landscaping

Architecture

Fashion Design

Illustration and Animation

Remember, any form of expression or communication is considered art and can be turned into a career.

What In The World Constitutes An Art Education Career? is a post from: Online Education Guide

Defining a Higher Education Career

Career

Administration And Supervision

Adolescent Years

Arts In Education

Career Need

Curriculum Assessment

Early Teens

Education Administration

Education Career

Education Middle Level

Higher Education

Knack

Level Grades

Masters In Education

Masters Of Education

Professional Talents

School Administrator

Secondary Curriculum

Secondary Education

Teaching Children

Technical School

Also known as secondary education, a ‘higher education career’ defines the teaching of children and adults. For example, someone teaching children ages 13 – 18 will need special communication skills, counseling ability, a knack for making subjects challenging as well as fun and interesting as well as educational. Here is a basic list of personal and professional talents needed to succeed in a higher education career.

Patience – You are teaching youngsters whose personalities are emerging from childhood to fledgling adults.

Passion – If you’re not passionate about your subject(s) as well as the students you teach, then you’re less likely to make an impact on your students.

Compassion (counseling abilities) – Adolescent years are the most difficult for teens as well as their parents. This is a time when an otherwise docile child might become unruly and rebellious. As a teacher, you may be called upon to help them sort out their emotions and work through –what for them are- traumatic situations.

Imagination – The world in which we live is a constant challenge to someone in a higher education career. How can you make subjects like World History, Civics and Literature exciting for someone who spends much of their time in front of a television or playing video games? Having a good imagination helps!

Strong sense of values – You are helping to shape future generations.

Although we’re talking mostly about working with teenagers here, those who teach adults should strive to maintain some if not all of these special skills. Though adults don’t usually face the same challenges as teenagers, it’s still nice to know that a college professor can laugh and smile and make learning fun.

Defining a Higher Education Career is a post from: Online Education Guide

Education Career Information About Physical Therapist

Career

Accredited College Or University

Art Of Pain

Career Education

Career Information

College Education

Doctoral Degree

Education Career

Fitness Education

Guidance Counselor

Healthcare Industry

Internet Search

Knowledge Is Power

Pain Management

Physical Fitness

Physical Therapist

Physical Therapists

Physical Therapy Office

Professions

Researching Education

Youngsters

Information is knowledge and knowledge is power. With undergraduate schools, it is easy. There are all kinds of national sources that compare and contrast all of the various programs, telling you what is the ideal. You can rank graduate schools for undergraduate programs, science programs, social life, campus accessibility – you name it and there is someone who has looked at it. With graduate school ranking, however, it is a little bit different and a tiny bit more difficult. You see, the problem with ranking graduate schools is that they vary so much degree by degree. With undergraduate schools, the most important thing is to find a program with a good reputation. Because you will be taking classes in a wide variety of fields in all probability, as long as the college as a whole is good, it will look good on your resume.

With graduate education, you can go to one of the top ranking graduate schools and still have no opportunities in your department. Basically, when you’re applying for graduate schools, the more that you know about what you want to study, the better off that you are. If you know who you want to study under, you can make your entire graduate education decision based on that. There is no compelling way, after all, to rank graduate schools. Graduate school rankings are notoriously inaccurate, as the addition or subtraction of one or two key members of the faculty can change a whole department overnight. What is one day one of the ideal graduate programs in the country is, the very next day, a third tier program.

Sometimes, the top ranking graduate school might not fit your needs. For example, it may not offer adequate funding. When ranking graduate schools for your own needs, you’ve to consider your financial needs as well. Many of the best ranking graduate schools will have great amounts of financial aid available for anyone who needs it, however some of them won’t. If you apply to one of these schools, you’ve to get used to the idea that you need money before getting in. Not only are these programs inaccessible to many of us, but they also might not be the best way to get an education. After all, do you really want to go to a graduate school whose entire population is independently wealthy? It seems to me that you would have an inferior academic community to one which is more diverse.

Ranking Graduate Schools is a post from: Online Education Guide
